CLEANING TIPS TO KEEP YOUR HOME AND APPLIANCES SPARKLING CLEAN

TUBS AND SHOWER STALLS
Alkaline deposits in the water cause spots on your glass doors and shower walls.
Apply car wax to the walls and doors. Car wax makes cleaning easier and keeps water spots away.

TOILETS
Pour one or two cups of white vinegar into the toilet once a month to eliminate stains.

SINKS
Pour one cup of baking soda, followed by one cup of white vinegar down the drain. Wait for an hour and flush with warm water. It also works for showers, tubs, and kitchen sink drains.

FAUCETS
Use a paper towel soaked in white vinegar and place around the faucet. Plug the drain and pour 1/2 cup white vinegar into the sink and wait. It takes time for the white vinegar to dissolve the alkaline deposits. Scrub until the stain vanishes.

CARPETS
Blot up liquids quickly, dabbing lightly with a clean white towel or paper towel.

GREASY STAINS
Apply a non-flammable dry-cleaning agent to the spot with a white towel. Work from the edges toward the center. Don’t scrub. Sprinkle a greasy stain with baking soda, cornstarch, cornmeal, or talcum powder. Leave on for at least 6 hours, then vacuum.

STAINLESS STEEL SPOTS
To remove water spots on stainless steel, rub the area with a clean, soft cloth dampened with white vinegar. Then wipe dry to avoid spots.

REFRIGERATOR ODORS
A little vanilla poured on a piece of cotton and placed in the refrigerator will eliminate odors.

BLOOD STAINS ON FURNITURE
Use hydrogen peroxide to remove blood from clothing or furniture. Rub gently.

SMOKE ODOR REMOVE
Place a bowl of vinegar out to absorb the smoke odor.
